Rightful Liberty

Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual. - Thomas Jefferson

Tom would be appalled to see how much the tyrants have willed and how much voluntary servitude there is today.

Dreams

All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them, nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true. - Woodrow Wilson

Be patient seeing your dreams come true.

One Thousand Posts

We should be careful to get out of an experience only the wisdom that is in it - and stop there; lest we be like the cat who sits on the hot stove-lid. She will never sit down on a hot stove-lid again - and that is well; but also she will never sit down on a cold one anymore. - Mark Twain

One might wonder why I chose this for my 1000th post. I would not like to be like Mr Twain's cat. The experience I've gained in 3 years of posting tells me people don't comment, give at-a-boy's or compliments, suggestions or complaints. But that is not why I post here so I will continue to offer up my quotations, search for truth, and hopefully give you something to think about as well.
