Resist the temptation to think it is government's responsibility to make things better - that is an individual's choice. The responsibility of government is only to punish those who do bad things.

It would seem to me that if the government has the responsibility to punish those who do bad things, they would have a field day within their own confines. And why is it if one of their own does somthing bad, they get their hand slapped. And when John Doe public makes the same mistake, it requires jail time and a fine? Seems a little bit lop sided to me.
